Just create an animated camera if you are working with 3ds Max and make sure that the executable starts on the animated camera.
Withe Nova for Revit, use the Trajectory Manager (in the Capture menu) to create the camera trajectory (equivalent of an animated camera) and use a script to launch the Trajectory Manager file created.
